I’d gladly pay $55k for a pedestrian Turbo. Won’t lose money on that for sure.

I had trouble finding 996tts in the high 30k’s the last 1-4 years. Most decent ones were in the 40k’s, but maybe that’s just where I am (Chicagoland).

Those were the floor: Tips & Cabs with dirty titles / fax’s and 100K+ miles. Now the floor is $50K+ and rising fast. No ceiling, S & X50 already left orbit

There was a manual, two owner Seal Grey TT with ohlins that sold in Chicago on ebay for $38k last year. The deals were out there, they just didn't last long.

It was clean. I passed on it simply because it wasn't an X50. Mega bargain though.

Wow 😮

Biggest bargain I saw while shopping for Speed Yellow was a clean fax 50K miles Polar-Metropol X50 manual for $45K. I seriously considered it cause of the upside but I’m not a dealer I just want to drive.

OK, so my memory is not quite correct, but it was still a very good deal. Motons, not Ohlins. 35k, not 50k miles, and $45k, not $38k lol.

Ooof, yeah, Polar Silver might have gotten me. There was a Polar Silver Aerokit car in CA for $50 flat that was extremely tempting last year as well.

Yeah $30’s was rebuilt title territory. The dirty fax’s were all $40’s. So you’re right that clean one was an absolute steal at $45K!

Those days are looooong gone 🥺

02 Turbo w/zero options breaks $73K w/fees. That’s a pretty good drift from recent years..

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...911-turbo-115/

It’s stuck up in Canada too, which always flattens BaT auctions dead

I know the 996.2 came with 3 keys when new, (2 regular & 1 valet), did the 996.1 come with 3 keys?
I posted in another RL thread about owner care diminishing over time.
IMO, window sticker, manuals & all keys are signs the 20 year old car has been owned by people who care about it.
I have not seen to many listings indicating the above.

My 1999 has three keys including valet. Very very rare to get even two keys after twenty years. Three is a real coup

Interesting, I didn't know there should have been a valet key. I only have a mere two keys.

Two keys are essential. Absurd how dealers now act like one key is the norm, and a second key is “extra”. “We can have an “extra” key made for you at cost”?? Whenever I see one key that’s 2.5 strikes against the car. And three on the dealer.

Question: WHERE ARE ALL THE VALET KEYS????????

90% of 2nd 911 keys are gone. But 99.9999% of valet keys are ALL gone.

WHERE DID ALL THE VALET KEYS GO???
