Default paint sealant on head lights?

So, I just used the 3M kit on my headlights, with the final step being the wipe-on clear coat. I will soon be waxing (using a sealant, like Zaino brothers or equivalent) the car.

Can I use the sealant on the head lights? Is it recommended to do so?

The previous owner of my 996 had the headlight enclosures buffed and treated with a UV coating. I've heard mixed reviews if this extra step really works or not to prolong the clearness of the lenses. In theory, plastic is plastic and when exposed to the sun, it will age regardless what is sprayed on it. Yellowing from oxidation is one byproduct. Brittleness that results in cracks is another. In many cases, the only way to get it to "look like new" is to replacement them with new enclosures.

Maybe I should rephrase my question...is there any harm in putting zaino on the 3M clear coat?

Per Uncle Billy (800Bill) and "Southern man", Expel overlays are the answer. I applied them 9 years ago, and now, still no yellowing or cracking.

When you guys say xpel im assuming the film? So you polished with a kit - 3M for example - then just applied the xpel film?
