Having only owned one 996 (2003 c4s coupe) and having never been in someone else's 996, i have a question. My driver seat slides back a good 2 inches further than the passenger seat does. is this standard? i inspected the tracks looking for something that might be blocking the passenger seat such as a coin but found nothing. It's not a big deal but find it unusual.

Some tall people have pulled out the "stops" on the drivers seat rails so they can move the seat back further. I have heard that gains about 2 inches more the seat can be moved backwards.

First i've heard of "stops". now i'll take a look at the driver's side rails and see if they look different than the passenger side rails.

i'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'2" and she likes to pull her seat forward even though she has plenty of room to slide the seat back. when she slides forward i get the feeling that i'm driving from the back seat since i can see the entire back of her seat.
