With a triple heart surgery a few years ago, I slowed down on the extreme hobbies/sports, at 63yo I'm just glad to be here. Here is a pic of my last dirt bike I sold a few years ago. Me and my sons custom built it, a CR500AFC, it's a CR500 engine installed in an aluminum frame CR250 frame, nick named "The Beast".
Having an AF was a dream of mine for years! Nothing on earth like an open class MX motor. I got out of dirt bikes a few years back to spend more time with my son (not into riding), still miss it. I still have a couple of street (lightly dual sport) bikes, including a 1970 Triumph Trophy scrambler (so appreciate the vintage bike thing Vancouver996). Life these days is work, work, work, spending time with my son, and hanging with my dog.

Jet-Skiing, Jet-Skiing, Jet-Skiing...I own 5 of them scattered between my house in Minneapolis and vacation house on Fort Myers Beach FL. My ski for ocean duty has a 260 HP supercharged engine and it is an escape since there is nobody around and there are no speed limits. It is very physically challenging to stay on it in choppy water at 60+ MPH. I ended up buying my first Porsche ('07 Carrera S) three years ago because I felt the "need for speed" and it was too cold to be on the water.

I love road bike riding, but my home improvements have gotten in the way of that in the past few years, car repair is definitely one of my hobbies....but home improvement is my latest. I think I do it just so I can buy more tools. We bought a house a block from the ocean near Daytona last year (Wilbur by the Sea), and we are basically leaving a small part of it and rebuilding a new house around it as a "remodel"....I will be doing a lot of the work myself. So far I gutted the house (but now we are going to tear it down) and rebuilt the floor. This is our "remodel".....soon I will have a beach house!

Here's the post: https://forums.quattroworld.com/arch/msgs/65453.phtml

And I built a new deck on the back of my house last year in the Chicago area and finished the siding, did everything but the concrete myself.

My son and I just did the timing belt, balance shaft belt, seals on the front of the engine and a bunch of other stuff to the 951 last weekend, he's coming back to Chicago this weekend from Ft. Wayne, IN where he lives to take the car home for a year. I told him that he could use the car for a year......this way he can't blame me for anything else any longer in life! HAH!

It seems like there are a lot of musicians here. I've been playing music for close to 50 years starting with trumpet when I was a kid (that gave me reading skillz - though they've atrophied quite a bit over the years).Through music came recording which I've done quite a bit of as well. I also built 3 studios over the years which have become more sophisticated with time - the current one being a 4 room affair with full isolation between rooms (it was quite a project and took me 2.5 years to complete).
Day Job - Arborist/Landscape Manager
Night job/Hobby - Musician (mostly Guitar/Vocals but also Bass guitar and Drums)
Part time job/Hobby - Studio owner/Producer/Engineer
Hobby - Porsche 911/996

RC planes, RC cars, slot cars (lots of 996s), model trains, wrenching on my cars when I want to, cycling (really gotten into rails to trails since knee injury ended triathlon dreams), camping / hiking, shooting, autoX, and the ocassional track day, grilling and smoking meat mostly (texas bbq), making chili, wine tasting and collecting, building legos with my kiddos (they build rc stuff and help with other things too), drums, guitar, been wanting to try some 3 gun too.

And if I win the lotto, I’m taking up rally racing.

My wife says its too much, but I’m never bored and I don’t have time for a girlfriend or other terrible habits.

Great stuff guys....
I paint...I have "copied" Jackson Pollock's style....it's a lot harder than it looks, the first 10 or so went into the fireplace, but I have "mastered" Pollock's look
They are basically large very colorful paintings that I have sold to decorators who do the lobbies of condo buildings here in South Florida..

Prior to having my own accounting firm I played music a LOT, been doing so since 15, made a few albums, etc. Simply no time for it anymore. Still have some gear that I pick up and play every once in a while though.

Otherwise I hit the gun range at least once/twice a month. Besides my wife, my babies are my SIG P228 and SCAR 17S... have others but aren't as fun. Looking at getting a 5.56 SBR later this year, assuming my 911 doesn't implode... I had a new SBR picked out until a call yesterday saying my repair bill was going to increase by a solid 4 figures due to some other things needed attention. Oh well.
