Default Finally got another Porsche...

Well its been 20 years,,, but added a Porsche back in to the garage this week.
2003 C4 convertible with a Hardtop.. Exterior is a 10 except for a couple wheel dings. Interior is prob a 9, very clean.
PSM/PSE/Bose/Black Leather/6spd Mnl./Fresh Brakes/40K on the clutch..
It has a 100K on it,, bit it got most of that on a long highway commute.
Worst case I gotta go in, but I can do the motor mostly myself ..
Right now the thing idles like silk and no smoke or rattles at all.

It will be getting the full service treatment shortly, going to do the spin on filter front LN and if its clean maybe the IMS solution.. We shall see.

Last kid off to college,, Wife's E46 330XI got rear ended softly but enough to total,, she bought a SUV with auto
and proceeded to complain about it for months,, Years ago when we got rid of our 69 911T (Still miss that car) ,
I promised we'd get another some day,, Mothers day was it! , She hates auto transmissions..

right at $19K bit of an impulse thing,, but basic check gave a < 10 lb spread on
a wet compression test and the oil looked good at 5K miles on the fluid..
4th owner on the car... Next cheapest one in my area was 27K..

We shall see how my luck holds.

That seems like a good gamble to me. 19k to put a smile on your face daily is worth it! Best of luck, enjoy!!!!!!

I had forgotten how damn good these cars are to drive,, Took the new one on a nice long drive today,,
by myself,, 125 miles of curves.. My jaw hurts from the grinning.. Not even driving hard just chilling..

The AWD is something else..

Had the car in the shop this week, had them do all the gearboxes/oil/antifreeze , new plugs, air filter,
only issues found were a cracked spark plug heat shield, (30 bucks) and the Coolant tank had a crack.
It wasn't a cheap week but got the car to a clean slate. Normally I'd have done it myself but my current garage
is just a bit small to work and life had me busy..

The overall verdict from the shop was the car was in extraordinarily good shape for a 16 year old car..
