Experience with "quality tops and interiors" ebay store?

Hi all - I am researching tops to replace my delaminated top.

I don't need a high end top, just one that does the job.

Been researching the "Stayfast" tops and they seem to be of good quality considering the price.

Has anyone dealt with this ebay store?

https://www.ebay.com/str/qualitytopsandinteriors

Seem to have really good feedback, and their tops are $100 less than onese I can find anywhere else.

$465 here: https://www.autotopsdirect.com/Porsc...07-996-025.htm

And only $354 on this ebay store.

Thanks for any info/insights.

Have no experience with those you mention, but did order an aftermarket top from Pelican. Some fitting was required. Top is fairly complicated. Good to have an upholstery shop that has some experience with these cars do it. I was going to have the dealer install but they would not touch it unless it was a factory top that cost around $3700. Found an upholstery shop that has put tops on other vintage cars. Results were OK, but definitly could be better. Top probably does not matter as much as who installs it. Hope this helps.

If I can recall, the Porsche top had a difficulty of 5 out of 5 on Pelican. I believe there is also some sewing involved.

Get a GAHH German A-5 top. That's the OE material and have an auto upholstery shop install it.

By all accounts our tops are a horror show to install. Going cheap will cost you in the long run, as most of the cost is labor. May as well get the best one available. I had a new German top installed last year by a pro, cost $2500 with new headliner and roll bar covers. Worth every penny.

Best quote I have gotten so far is $2700 as well. I would assume that includes a new headliner. From what I've researched the labor is 10 - 12 hours.

I got a quote for $2000 from a top shop here near Chicago. Reusing the headliner. They said it’s almost the same price as trying to fix my old top, Labor is an all-day event.

I'd love to reuse my headliner, as it seems in perfect condition.

They always try to sell you on getting a new one though. Wonder if it makes their install easier.
