I see a lot of this type of this type of thing on this forum. It’s normally something along the lines of:
” I am looking at a 2000 silver on black Carrera at Jose’s cash for car sales. It has no paperwork and 130,000 miles.
I do not know how to work on cars, I just want a change of pace from my 2004 Honda Civic. They offer 72 month financing.
Can I drive this daily?”
Then the op will only respond to or entertain comments that tell him its a good idea. Any good points towards not buying the car are ignored.
Bottom line is people will hear what they want to. They also don’t like criticism. That’s how society is nowadays. I always thought criticism is a good way to learn about oneself. Oh well!

Everyone can have an opinion... I hear plenty at Cars and Coffee. Not everyone likes my mods but I sure do love a good car chat so for or against, i love hearing peoples thoughts on mods (mine or others).
I think the stickers look ok. I'm more confused by the rear bumper and how it fits with the early 996 and the 17" wheels but I dont know if you have future plans for the car to upgrade other parts. I really like your interior! I can tell you really take pride in your car and its a hell of alot cleaner than mine. Kudos! I need to make time to clean mine up and not be "that guy" with the beat 911 lol

The guy is all proud of his car and posts some photos of it and people crap all over it and your response is "I don't get why you are getting so mad...". If you wouldn't say it to him in person at a car show, then don't post it. Its pretty easy to just keep scrolling.
Enjoy what you like. I think it looks just fine.

Ive looked at my car several times since the insults came in. Bottom line I don’t care. I like it. Not to mention my wife and son thing “it looks great” “colors match up well”.
I know the internet can be a cruel place where people with mental disorders can come to play head games. It’s a shame this site is polluted to. With a little experience under my belt it’s not hard to see who is intelligent and who is not.
Ill pass on the child’s play and watch for the meaningful posts that can often be found here.
I wish you all well.

You posted pictures of your vehicle and modifications you made to it in a public forum. In doing so, you're going to get responses from the public. You clearly did an excellent job installing the graphic on the car, but the fact remains that you chose a decal that was poorly designed and does not match the car.
If you like it, then it doesn't matter what we think, it's your car.

Overall, this is an excellent 996 thread. What keeps me shelling out my $17 annual fee for.

Thats what I was going for. Mixing the new with the old. I really appreciate your compliment. It’s reassuring.

Like other people have said, it's your car put whatever sticker you want to on the darn thing. But please, avoid putting stick people and/or pets on the rear window.
