Default Porsche Piwis TSI

Many of you new comers don't know that you can get access to all Porsche documents online as a pay-per-view account that you can subscribe to by setting up an account, then purchase blocks of time ie. $14 for 1 hour, $140 for 1 day, ect. up to 365 days for 7k. This system gives you access to a world of documents, pretty much every thing you want (except secure codes ect.) Here is a video a subscriber made that shows some of the document you can access and how to navigate the system. There is much more he didn't show, but will be enough to get you started and find what you need without wasting valuable time (that you pay for). If you know what you want, ie. how to remove and replace wheel bearing, you should be able to find the documents well within an hour. The system is called Porsche Piwis TSI and I think it will help many here with their DIY , and even diagnostics.

Thanks Doc! In the video he mentions being able to purchase individual documents. Is this still available, or is it simply time based now?

It's just time based now, so you can download as many documents as you want. This is all the info that is available to dealership technicians, except for for IPAS which has secure codes. Dr. h.c. Porschetech3

I used this a few months back. I had an electrical wiring issue and needed schematics -- 14 bucks and an hour later, had everything I needed. Well worth it to me!

Thanks for sharing Dr. h.c. Porschetech3

Almost used it awhile back but ended up finding what I needed in my antiquated POSES edition and generally get by with that and PDFs.

Have all the diagrams been upgraded for the 996??

Yes, the TSi system has the newest of all information, same thing the dealerships use. I don't think the 996 needed any upgrade, but any additions/corrections will be there.Your PIWIS has wiring diagrams in it also, albeit they depend on the software version as to how new.

I think the PIWIS TSI site has been moved, locked, disabled, something. unfortunately.

It's a real shame as it had access to all repair procedures, TSB's, recalls, ect. for just a simple registration, and purchase of a time block (1-2 hrs) and could download as many documents as you wanted.

If anyone still has access to this or similar Porsche Information Service, please post the requirement/procedures. I'm sure large Porsche Specialist Shops that have official PIWIS Hardware (leased), has a yearly lease,

I have stacks of Info I have printed off over the years, but have thrown away 10 times as much because it was easier to just look it up and print a new copy than to file/find an old copy I had printed off years earlier.
