Public Service Announcement:

All the write ups and videos i've seen talk about spark plug sockets with rubber grommets inside to hold the plug.

I've been using a magnetic socket like this: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

Works like a charm, the swivel is very helpful and the magnet holds "just right".

Figured id share what works for me as many here like to wrench on their own cars.

Magnetic sparkplug sockets are awesome!
I’ve been thinking about getting one with a permanent swivel extension attached.
Currently I just use electrical tape to keep keep a u-joint or extension attached to the socket.
I have very deep magnetic sockets that I use for some cars.
