Default Headlights and Turn Signals

Something odd is going on with my 996 turn signal when my headlights are on. When burning the headlights, my left turn signal doesn't work. However, when the headlights are off it works just fine. I thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas of what it could possibly be. Thanks!

Try reseating the headlights. Take a look at the wiring before reseating.

How is your ignition switch. My lights wouldn’t work until I played with the key. Changed switch, problems solved although different issues than you may be having.

could be the light switch?

That's sound advice.

Let me try the headlights this evening and see if that does anything. You mentioned playing with the key... my key doesn't want to stay closed (the battery compartment), but I assume you mean something different.

What I was talking about is jiggling key in the ignition to see if the lights change behaviour.

My lights were dim and signals totally didn't work when I got my C2 coupe, replaced the headlight switch and the hazard signal switch. The headlight switch was obviously bad with burnt contacts and discoloration all around, the hazard switch would not light when pressed and looked bad internally upon inspection. My next step was the ignition switch but it wasn't necessary. GL and hopefully it's the ignition at $10 vs the headlight switch at $190.

FWIW, if you shop around you can find it for closer to $100 (I got it from RockAuto for somewhere around that).
