Default BAT auction on a track car?

Having a hard time wrapping my head around this - but there MAY be an opportunity for me ahead that would mean selling my car... I can barely even type those words...

That said- for a car such as mine - does the group think that BAT is the best option? It's pretty specialized...

I'd try BAT or 2ndcar.com

Awesome build and a Tough one to call...If you could set a reserve that you could live with then I guess it worth a try, but I don't see a very big pool of buyers for this unless it was dirt cheap.
I'd like to know what you have your eye on?

Let me know if you would prefer a DM but it does seem like good info for the group, what did LN charge for their Track Performer?

I agree that you have an awesome car, and that your market is probably a lot narrower. I don't know bring a trailer other than a little browsing. I don't recall seeing dedicated track cars, but maybe I haven't looked. I see race car ads in the PCA magazine - that may be a good route. I wonder it LN/Flat 6 would know potential buyers in this market? As painful as it sounds, I wonder if you'd get a better return by parting it out and selling it piecemeal? You've got a lot of great parts and that engine is worth a lot.

Thought about that as well. It’s very possible and I have a lift at home.

If you part it out, I'd be seriously interested in the motor!

What about:

https://www.racingjunk.com/

They have a lot of full-on race cars listed there. The "junk" part is kind of a misnomer as there are quite a few race ready cars listed there.

I have a listing about to start on Bring A Trailer (non-Porsche). They have been great to work with but just keep in mind they are selective They do not accept just any car, they they pick and choose what they will accept for an auction as they want their site to retain it's exclusive reputation.

That said they are nice guys, just shoot them a message with a few photos and they will respond in a couple days with their thoughts on whether they would want to list the car for you or not.

I'd be interested if it had a bigger wing!

I'm going to try to list here to see how it goes as a package... It's in the for sale section now at $44K with trailer... I've made the decision that I'm going to part it out if it doesn't go...

Well - they are nice enough folks... I understand them wanting the reserve to be low - so I think we agreed on a good reserve price... a realistic one too.

That said - now it's just a question as to 'if.'
