Default Slave cylinder leaking after extending it to max

Hi,

With my slave cylinder disconnected I accidentally pressed the clutch pedal all the way down, it goes much much deeper with the slave cylinder disconnected. And the rod extends way further.

I noticed some drips from the rod coming out of the slave cylinder, did I blow the internal seals? Or is this somehow expected? Did it leak because the pin went to far out or did something break?

thanks

You've blown the seals of the slave cylinder. Once the rod is blown out, it will not go back together correctly. Time for a replacement.

It’s been superseded by Porsche a few times already so you probably did yourself a favor unless you already had the latest.

Me too. Sucks when it happens, but at least the slave cylinder doesn’t cost a fortune. I learned a good lesson. As someone said recently, I didn’t waste money (buying the part) I paid for training (lesson learned).
