Look like chewed up pices of the spark plug tubes green o-rings.
|
Yep, here's how mine looked. I had the engine out tho so it was pretty easy to avoid losing pieces into the cam cover.

Thank's I figure it's some think to do with the tubes I just didn't now they come in green color seals.
|
Since it coincided with messing with spark plug tubes it's 95% that. I HOPE it's that, for your sake, and not this: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...cam-p1341.html

There is any way to flush this green seals from my engine its been two oil change still showing my oil filter I would drop the sump. It's easy to do and you'll likely find a bunch of it down there. I would also check or replace the "swirl pots"(#4 Oil separator) while the sump is off. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...c1c2570fe3.jpg I updated my "swirl-pots" to the 997 "oil return lines" when I added my 2qt deep sump. This might be a good time to upgrade yours as well if you can find the correct part number. I got mine in the LN 2qt deep sump kit: https://lnengineering.com/products/m...51-baffle.html |
Thank you for your advice, I will drop the sump and clean everything.
