Default wind deflectors for cabs

Looking for opinions on the best bang for the buck, OEM wind deflector or aftermarket.
I see both on Ebay, OEM model is about 30-50% more expensive, but a brand called Aperta seems to have good reviews.

Anyone with any experience on either direction?

Thanks
Pete

I’ve only used the OEM but find it to be very effective.

I have the OEM on both my cars and it is perfect. I put the top down 40 degrees out with the windows up seat heaters on and the only thing I feel is the tips of my ears!! She wraps herself in a fleece blanket but wants the top down. Without the wind deflector she would be too cold and her hair would blow all over the place!

I have the OEM one as well, so can’t speak to the after market ones, but they are 100% worth it. With the windows and deflector up you can have a conversation at regular speaking volume while cruising at 70mph. Makes the car much more comfortable on longer trips with the top down.

I have the OEM and it works great. Suncoast has it for $329.00, but my local dealer price matched it. Had it in four days without any shipping costs. Here is the link for the item at Suncoast: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...DEFLECTOR.html

Ok thanks everyone for the comments.
I think that I will go with the OEM version to be sure.

OEM folds to fit in the trunk. I haven’t seen an after market one that folds.

You can find them used if you hunt around (or have patience). I think I got mine on ebay (used) for $100

Stupid question as I got the OEM when I bought my car but have not so much as attempted to install it at this point. Can the deflector be left installed when putting the soft top up or is it something that needs to be taken off every time you want to put the top up?

Yes, you can leave it installed. It does not interfere with the top.

The only time you need to remove the wind screen is to use the rear seats. /X3

Which is almost NEVER....so, does anyone have one of the European ones that don't fold?

My issue is that I have to move my seat rake too far back in order to fit in the car, so I can’t use my deflector. I wonder if I could move the mount points back an inch, or modify it to fit around my seat? Hmm.
