Default Exterior Use Car Cover

Does anyone use an exterior car cover? If so, what do you use and what are your recommendations?
Thanks in advance

I actually use a C6 Corvette cover. Works like a charm.

If anyone has a recommendation for Manufacturer and Model that will be a huge help.
Thanks

Strathconaman, do you find the fit is good? Does the car sit outside? How do you keep it from flapping in the wind?
Thanks

I am not sure who made mine. I got it from my Father-In-Law. He had a C6, bought a C7, and when I bought my 996, he gave me the cover. It has the GM dealership he got the C6 from on the cover, and I always assumed it was a GM part.

Fit is excellent. The mirrors fit in the mirror pockets, and the front and rear are elasticized. The length and width are perfect, and just tuck in under the nose and tail perfectly. There is a little bit of room at the back, where the C6 is flat and the 996 slopes away. It doesn't "flap" at all. I should mention I have a C4S, if that matters at all.

It is an outdoor cover, but not waterproof, and I wash it occasionally as pollen and dust build up on it.

I've owned many outside car covers over the years, you get what you pay for. The cheap ones only last me a year.

This one might be the ticket for you.

Buy a cover from this company is my best recommendation. I have been using them on all my vehicles for decades. calcarcover.com They are the best in the industry. Check out their website!

The 996 stays in the garage but I have 'Superweave' cover from California Car Covers on a BMW and it seems to be very well made.

In addition to being very well made they have great customer service and stand behind what they make. I use them for all my car cover needs and I have used a California Car cover on my 1999 Ford Super Duty F250 since new and it still looks amazing! You can't go wrong with them.

I have had about a dozen care covers in my life for different cars. I really swear by the Porsche oem 996 outdoor cover. It is excellent and fits the car like a glove. Worth every penny!

Awesome, thanks. I have a '01 NB but I imagine the fit has to be pretty close. Isn't the WB only like 1" wider?
