Default I have almost perfected my 996's interior.

What do you guys think? I am thinking gt3 Alcantara shifter or a wooden 917 style one To complete the look. A lot of people think the 996 had a less than satisfactory interior, but I think it is nice and simple and can easily be upgraded to your desire.

The new steering wheel was made by Machine Revival in France. Take a look online at their work! They are impressive .

Looks fantastic, purposeful and ready for action! How about a list of changes? I would vote for an Alcantara shifter, I am happy with mine for sure.

The 917-style wood shift ***** are super cool. Do you have a source for our cars? The guy that does them for Singer has not done one for 996 and newer yet.

I do have a source. Carboneliveries sells them. They are made by guy in Graz Austria named Joel Kernasenko. You may be able to get them directly from him, too. Either way, they come from Europe and are not cheap, but look so good.

Honestly, I haven't done very much. The steering wheel, Ruf pedals and constant upkeep to its condition. I like to be understated, so I probably won't go crazy with carbon and aluminum. Basically, anything you touch you want to be nice, so the only things I would change now is the shifter and maybe some gt3 seats .. one day. For anyone with stock interior, metal pedals make a huge improvement.

It looks fine, but the idea of removing the air bag on a street car (especially one without a cage/harness bar) is silly.

I will admit, when I decided to purchase the steering wheel I had not considered having no airbag at the time. I was hesitant to install it once I had thought about it, but now it is my second car and I do not worry about it so much. I am trying to give the watercooled girl some aircooled flavour, and had I purchased an aircooled car instead, I would not have an airbag. There are bigger things to worry about, such as people on motorcycles surrounded by distracted drivers.
