Official "people in my BACK SEAT" Porsche 911 thread!

They are there. It's listed as a 4 seater. And an average 4 year old may actually fit. But this post is for the Go Getters in life. You have to move 4 people and by God you are gonna do it in your 911. Let's see what it looked like. :) These pictures were from the Kentucky Breeders Cup race last Fall at Churchill Downs (Home of the Kentucky Derby). Ran into a couple that we knew and all the uber drivers were booked solid. I asked how flexible was she and if they could work as a team. The rest is pure magic. Yes, It CAN be done. :

I find this offensive, 3 men and the female made to sit in the back!

And what's with the smiles, this can't be fun...

No fun was had that day. ;) Non whatsoever. BTW: I once had 5 adults in my Corvette.

Come on, somebody else has to make use of their back seats. I usually use it for my German Shepherd. He likes to put his rear legs in the back and reach out and put his front legs on the top of the windshield and drool slobber all over us.

Lol, I had to rush my cat to the vet a few weeks ago and had no box or carrier to put him in. I really thought I'd end up a bloody mess, but once he realized he couldn't bounce his way out of the back window he settled in for the ride under my feet...All went well from there. I can't imagine a full size adult back there in a coupe.

I did take my 6'8" son for a ride on Monday, had to open the sunroof so he could get in. I wish I took a pick of his head sticking up through to top, it was funny!

Looks like you all had a blast and I love the smiles...

Back when I was about 18 or so we put 11 people in a 1978 Olds 98 Regency. We (maybe 4 or 5 of us?) were out in the city and met some girls and offered them a way to get back to the suburbs.
  • 4 sitting across the front
  • 5 sitting across the rear
  • One girl lying across the guys/gals in front
  • One girl lying across the guys/gals in the back.
It was:
  1. Stupid
  2. Dangerous
  3. Fun

MMMMM I had to bring a couple gal pals of my gf home a few weeks ago from a bar at 2am They surprisingly. fit "OK" in the back seats. Wish I had taken pics

A friend and I caught a flight to go purchase my 99 996. The owner picked us up at the airport in it... my buddy, all 6'5" 250 of him got the pleasure of riding in the back seat for around an hour back to the guys house. Lol. It took him a handful of tries to figure out how to get back there!

Try the backseat of a BMW 1 series sometime.

Two weeks ago my wife and I drove from Columbus to Cincinnati so my son could play with the Porsche. The three of us went to lunch and ran some errands (including a Costco run!) with my wife in the back seat. Fortunately she is only 5’ 3” tall but it worked better than expected. Hardest part for her was getting out. But I would call the car at least a three seater. If we needed four seats, it would work if my wife was driving.

Does being a "4 seater" have any impact on insurance rates over a "2 seater"?

TechSavvySam 03-14-2019 09:32 AM

Oh, that's a "back seat"? I thought it was a place to throw my laptop bag when someone was in the front passenger seat...

The insurance thing about 4 vs. 2 seats is a myth. Insurance companies know what a Porsche 911 is, they're not fooled by seat count.

The thread below was about my family of 4 going for a camping trip n our 911 with gear and all.

I removed my rear seats and seatbelts - I don't want anyone in the back of my car

Much more impressive when you only have a coupe, the convertible with the top down is like cheating...
