While probably less of an integrated solution that you're looking for... I got a Nulaxy KM21 bluetooth FM transmitter from Amazon for $15 and it works really, really well. It literally overpowers actual radio stations. Even has a couple of USB outlets for charging. Only downside is that the mic doesn't work well for calls (though I see they've come out with a few newer models which may work better in that department).

Have anybody tried this one?
With Hands free

Without hands free

It looks a clean solution for me. The module plugs and play directly on the aux input, and if you want handsfree too, you have to only place the microphone in a proper place

Quite a few in fact... Here is the link: https://rennkit.com/product-info/blu...-retrofit-kit/ But this BTR-2 kit is for the Pre-MOST CAN Bus head units. We just received the 2003 onward kits that connect to the fiber optics. We just have not had a chance to get them on our website!

I bought this:

It works OK. A little static during complete silence. Not a complete waste of $$$ for 15 bucks.

I've tried 3 of the inexpensive bluetooth transmitters and they all were terrible. I guess they technically work but the sound is very quiet, where I have to turn it up way louder than the normal radio or CD volume, and easily starts getting staticky. I've not had any luck with those. I'm thinking of trying one of these integrated systems that I have had better success with on another cars (for doing sound from a DVD player on an older van).

Me too. I'm happy with the stereo in my 996 - I would like to add Bluetooth so I can field phone calls. Looks like the FM modulators don't work well and add static.

I saw a service on ebay to add Bluetooth to a CDR-23 i'm curious if it's any good.

I remember awhile ago there was a service to add AUX but apparently it was rubbish - wondering if its the same just this time with bluetooth... Also not sure if its for early non MOST CDR23s or the later MOST ones as well.

Either way personally I really like my Dension + WMA1000 because I can change the track with the head unit... $500 well spent to that function, great audio clarity and keeping the factory head unit - for me anyway.

Another Denison owner here, except I got the bovee Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the 30-pin cable. One benefit of Dension is you can hard-connect the phone to avoid the loss of sound quality over Bluetooth and charge phone at the same time. It’s great when it works, but sometimes the Denison refuses to work with “No CD” error. As much as I like the stock look, I’m close to replacing with one of the CarPlay units.

I've got the same bovee unit WMA1000 - 30pin ipod to Bluetooth - works perfectly, connects every time and I don't get a No CD error so far?

Although - I do occasionally get the music stopping and "LOADING" comes up on the screen for a second then starts playing again. Might be my phone rather than my equipment.
