And while there is no DIRECT desire for central authority, there certainly is a wish by those who don't like the commentary to have it closed, moved, banned, or some other supplication to authority here(IB, our venerable hose, er - I mean 'host'(sarcasm again)). No one minds your opinion. Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has them and they all stink. We mind when you think that your totalitarian framed opinion should hold greater sway over those who run this board, than those of us who have a more Laissez-faire approach(non-economic). In summary, you don't want to just have 'an opinion', you want someone at IB/rennlist to take action. Move, delete, ban, etc.
BTW, I'm pretty sure you are going to get your desire(strange verbiage, but whatev) fairly soon. Or - maybe the mods have all gone on holiday.

We all have expiriences which inform our perspectives . In September of 1993 , I was serving with 2PPCLI in the medak pocket region of Croatia .
We were under a UN peacekeeper banner ,UNPROFOR blue berets etc. our mission was to prevent outbreaks of what the media dubbed " ethnic cleansing "

at the 35 minute mark of this film , you'll see that after an intense firefight , we pushed into a village where we thought the civilian population was being eliminated .
we found the bodies of two young girls we believed had been held in a room and subjected to all kinds of horrors before their bodies were burned with gasoline . I was one of those tasked with body recovery . The bones of their legs were still so hot they melted the body bags . We cooled them with bottled water . My fatigues smelled like burnt flesh , gas and plastic for 3 days .
On my second tour , I had qualified as a medic , assigned to assist physicians in a field hospital . We treated 200 women who survived horrific physical and sexual abuse , the youngest was 8 , the oldest 75
so if my speaking out about making jokes about violence against women makes me a snowflake , I'll take that as a compliment

Rennlist is a community , there are members from all over the world , of all political stripes , religions and yes of both sexes
there is nothing that can make an online community turn toxic faster than poor taste comments about gender,race , politics , religion and nationality .
The rennlist community is strong because it historically has avoided these pitfalls that have killed other forums .
We have to ask ourselves , what kind of community do we want to be a part of ?
Jokes are fine , I did stand up for a couple years , in that environment you learn where the line is .
id say jokes even suggesting beating your wife go over it.
If this community decides the other way , it may be the end of it for many.
This community is the best 996 forum on the internet , it's worth protecting .
its either welcoming for everybody or it's not
otherwise it could slipery slope into thread after thread of Godwin's law
