Headlight Covers for 2004 996.2 C4S Cabriolet

I wanted to get some more current advice from anyone that has or is familiar with headlight covers for the 996.2. I'm looking for the more traditional rounded headlights found on the early and more recent 911 models. How do you like the look? Any concerns? Any guidance on the best source for these would be helpful.
Thanks,
Gil

I prefer the 996 au naturel.

I just picked up my C4S last month and it came with these. I think they are Tech Art. I probably wouldn't have put them on but since they came with the car I am going to leave them on for now.

I like mine.
The 996 headlights are easy to change, so do what I did and grab some headlights off eBay and you can have both looks.
I got my extra headlights for $450.

Headlight covers for 996

Thanks for your replies. I am trying to reach Andrew (the original artist behind these), but haven't heard back yet.

Since I was asked some questions in PM, I thought I'd also answer them here so others would hear how I attached my headlight covers.

Yes, I had headlight washers to remove.=left
They break easily, but if you know the trick, they are easy to get off without breaking them.
Use a bicycle pump, and pump air through the rubber hose that normally carries water.
They will pop out and then you can grab them and remove the end caps.
If you don't want them anymore, don't throw them away, I'd like them for spares for my second set of headlights.
I used Permatex "The Right Stuff."

[I used almost a can of the stuff because I was paranoid about them coming off.
I just taped them down with blue 3M painter's tape to hold them overnight.
They have been on for over 1 year now, they're not going anywhere.

Tex has one of the few cars that I think they look good on.

Much as I'm not "wild" about the headlight "look" of the 996's, without seeing the covers close up I can't quite decide if I like it or not....

Paint Color for 996.2 Headlight Cover

Can anyone tell me what specific paint color/code of gray is used for the "ring" portion of this headlight cover that Andrew had previously posted?
Does anyone know color Porsche used for the ring around the headlights of the 997?

It is not painted on the 997. It's translucent plastic with plastic texture underneath to give it an appearance of being painted.

Congrats! I remember seeing that car on Autotrader for sale. It has the stock Gt2 wing right? Enjoy it!

Yes, I know on the 997. I was trying to get a guess on the closest paint color to the 997 headlight surround to make the 996 headlight cover look similar.

I respect all opinions and tastes, but... I am with the thinking of... "if you don't love what you see when you turn to your parking spot... you have just bought the wrong car"

I dont get the point of trying to make the 996 what they are not...

Is this a GT2 wing? Mine is fairly low. I'm looking forward to warm weather in MN so I can get out and enjoy it.
