Outlaw 996?

Anytime you're out having fun tickling the pedal on the right and glance at your speedometer and go "Oh ****!"
Your car is now an outlaw! ;~)
Speaking of which, I'm heading out to run Ortega Hwy in about 5 minutes.
And, Bill, your 356ish is BADASSERY ON WHEELS! Very cool!

Awesome car Lowpue!
The MKI 996 with aero kit looks great, especially in speed yellow. How is the 997s engine and transmission combo working out in your 996 (especially given the custom wiring harness)?
A 996 with an LS swap is a POS IMHO...
Wow what a build. I have not seen your car before and I just went back and looked at your build thread from 2017...Incredible!!!

LOL I would't dispute that.
In my opinion, "outlaw" means it doesn't follow the rules. (whatever "the rules" are). It seems there is a certain status associated with having an outlaw car, although I'd argue the opposite.
Most of the 996s above in my opinion, while they are undoubtedly sweet rides, aren't outlaws. They still follow a certain unwritten rule of what is considered "Acceptable" modifications and by (my) definition aren't outlaws.
Hence the reason an LS engine would be an outlaw....
that's just my 2 cents...

I really like it. If this showed up at a cars and coffee event, I would be looking at it before the stock examples. Definitely looks like there was some inspiration from Magnus' 996 GT3 in there.

Mr Ted, your car looks fantastic. I like what you have done with it.
Lowpue, your car is amazing. The mark1 aerokit and the 997s engine are the perfect combination for a 996 outlaw. Well done.
Pete95zhn, your car is the ultimate watercooled 911, in my humble opinion. I love how your car has evolved over the years. Every time I take my car out and flog it, a little part of me wouldn't mind if my engine pops....so I can replicate your transplant. Thanks for being an inspiration.
If anybody wants to see another great 996 outlaw, look up user name Redridge.

Guys, thanks for the compliments! There's something new coming for this season, I've spent all my free time in the garage. More info about that during/after Easter holidays. (or at IG: fortistuning) If the question about wheels was pointed at me, they're Italian NTM Racing's Pista IIIs.
