Replaced the softtouch lower center console with an OEM wrapped one. I checked ebay (US & Germany) for about a year before I was able to find one. Easily the best upgrade you can do, imo. Stitching, color, fit and everything is perfect since it's OEM.
Any pics? When you say OEM wrapped do you mean you bought an OEM one and had it wrapped?

It came to me as a trade (+$$) from a 996 owner in California that purchased a 996 that PO installed this wheel.
He thought it to be a DCM, but in fact it was not.
I tracked down fabricators of Porsche steering wheels, matched the stitching and seams and determined it is without a doubt, Techart.
It is about an inch smaller diameter, the thickness is increased. The leather is ultra high grade, feels like you are driving with deer skin gloves.
The smaller diameter does have a negative effect on viewing the tachometer. I installed a programmable progressive shift light, the set up is really nice.
The steering wheels were offered in the Techart 996 catalogs, but at crazy pricing starting over $2000.00.
Like others, I did a quite a few things to dress the interior up and also take care of issues with the continually scratching finish on the horseshoe and center rear console. My upgrades: Alum. Pedals, Custom Lloyd Mats with red piping, Red tach face, Custom DTC steering wheel w/ red leather stripe and stitching, leather rear console, Leather console armrest, Custom Porsche Exclusive leather horseshoe, iPad Mini install with Alpine receiver, Ash tray delete, Fire extinguisher with Rennline mount.

There is some pretty cool upgrades in this thread. My upgrades were kind of done fast as I was trying to get my car back on the road and I will be revisiting them when I do my motor swap (probably next winter) but here's what I've done so far. Still making the speaker box for it and it will be black/green theme. Zoom in on the rear seats and you can see I had those reupholstered with fresh leather and green stitching to match.
Good thread, its hard to fine stuff for upgrades for the interior.
That is serious upholstery. Do you do any of it yourself?
I like all the modern features of the Continental but I think the stock Becker sounds better. The speakers are great. I used Focal 100AC in the rear and Focal ES 100 K in front. Whatever speakers you decide on, I highly recommend the Metra 71-017C 'Speaker Wiring Harnesses' from Crutchfield. It allows you to use the stock speaker plugs saving you form having to hack the stock wiring.
