Default Battery Tender Suggestions

I've been driving the P-car a lot less this winter since my DOT has decided to coat the roads with 6 inches of salt whenever the temp gets below 40 degrees so I'm looking at options for a battery tender to keep things charged and ready to go. The only time I've used won before was for my motorcycle and I've always used the Battery Tender brand. I know there are others out there and was wondering what the Rennlist community would recommend for my car? Thanks...

Check out the Ctek line. They make the Porsche-badged versions, as I recall. My Ctek 3300 works great.

I have the Battery Tender brand. I have two of them (for two cars) and have used them for over 8 years with no problems. They work great.

I use the Battery Tender Jr. in fact, I have 3 of them, one for the 996, one for my motorcycle, and one for my boat. All work perfectly in all applications.
i keep a harness wired to the 996 battery all year around and just plug into it as needed.

I use the Battery Tender as well (the one for two cars - https://www.zoro.com/battery-tender-...BoC5bAQAvD_BwE ). I've got mine set up the same as above (with quick connect plug). I'be been using it for 4 years - no problems either with the unit or with starting cars after long winters...

Ctek has performed flawlessly for 3+ years, 2 on 2 cars

semi-permanent install

If you're in the habit of not driving your car for 3+ days at at time, just pop the frunk (assuming it's garaged) and plug it in

The one time I got caught with a low / dead battery was enough, no reason for it

I used an extension and ran it to just under the cap that covers the cowl:

Multiple CTEKs here. Same as Porsche uses. Plug into cigarette lighter, route wire through factory door rubber cut out. Easy.

Different. Schumacher Auto Battery Maintainer. I got this little guy at Autozone, but here it is at Wally World. Works great through the cigarette lighter. My battery is AGM.

Nice install...time to get your tag renewed if not already done. Maybe old pics.

C-tek MX5.0

Also plenty of accessories for it - you can also charge via cigarette lighter and there is a cut out in the door seal for the wiring

Yes, old picture.
That was pre-Taco and before my new garage door was installed.
