Default Dansk Exhaust question

I bought my 996 with dansk exhaust already on it and it’s just to loud for me. Is there any that Aren’t so loud? Is the gondo hack loud? Thanks

You are the only one that can tell what is and isn't too loud. Best would be for you to find someone near by that has this done and go listen to in in person. If you install a stock exhaust, it will be quiet.

You could probably find a half dozen people on this board that would be happy to trade with you for a stock exhaust. Some people enjoy the sound.

Stock exhaust sound is non existent. Good if you want it to be stealth. It seems like most people go with the gundo or fister d style bypass. I've even seen someone do both.

Thanks, out of all the people on the forum I just figured someone would have heard both gondo and dansk.
I don’t like quiet but don’t like really loud. I live in a small town and not very many Porsche’s around so probably no one with gondo hack.

Check spiegelei's youtube videos in the link I posted above. Should give you an idea of how it would sound.

Nevermind he is catless. Should be other vids on youtube though

Listening to YouTube clips will not going to do much. The PO has a specific sound he is after so unless he can hear it in person this will not work.

Still gives you a rough idea, which is basically all he can go to without having someone with the mod nearby. Better than nothing.

The more you drive the car the more you will get used to it. I have the Dansk Supersound (The loudest Dansk), I personally think it's the right level of loud but after driving it for a few months I want something LOUDER now. So am considering X-Pipe coupled with the Dansk.

I’ve the car about 3 years but sometimes it’s just to loud. It’s louder in the car with the top up.
