Door auto unlock upon shut down

Door auto unlock upon shut down
This may be a silly question, so please forgive me in advance. 99 C2 does not unlock the doors automatically upon turning off the car. It auto locks when I start to drive but I figured it would auto unlock when I turned the car off like most of my other cars. Am I missing something?

If you take the key out of the contact it will unlock the door too.

My 2000 C2 doesn't auto-lock. I didn't know that was an option.

According to the Durametrix functionality matrix i'd say probably not: http://www.durametric.com/modelfeaturematrixv6.aspx
FYI:
Automatic door locking
Your authorized Porsche dealer can program
diverse types of automatic door locking in the
control unit of the central locking system:
Type 1
Doors lock automatically when the ignition is
switched on.
Type 2
Doors lock automatically when a speed of 3 - 6
mph (5 - 10 km/h) is exceeded.
Type 3
Doors lock automatically when the ignition is
switched on. If doors are opened with the engine
running, they lock again automatically when
a speed of 3 - 6 mph (5 - 10 km/h) is exceeded.
Type 4
The doors do not lock automatically.
Note
Automatically locked doors can be unlocked with
the central locking button or opened by pulling
on the inside door handle twice.

This all makes sense.....so when you are dropping somebody off and leave the car running, they need to pull the door release once to unlock the door, then again to unlatch it. Or you can pull it once from your side to unlock it for them before they get to it as they won't know what to do.

I want to have mine programmed for Type 2.
Currently mine is Type 4.
I checked my Durametric Pro and it can't program doors.
Durametric is almost worthless for programming, or really just about anything else.
I almost never use it.
My Snap-on scanner is SO much faster to use.
I only use my Durametric to record overrevs when looking at vehicles.
If I already have the Durametric out and hooked up, I'll use the Durametric for camshaft deviation and fuel trims too.
Checking and resetting codes, resetting airbag warnings, looking at data is almost always done with the Snap-On.

Mine is Type 1 and is a little bit annoying. I would like to have it like Type 2
