Default Stiff drinks at BJ...

Maybe they were pouring strong refreshments at BJ or the buyer noticed some white powder seeping from under the dash. Maybe the car is a Mule. Huge price paid for this very avg car

Price doesn't seem that out of line to me (if you don't factor in the buyer's premium).

~$60k for a Tiptronic 996 Turbo whose miles aren’t listed anywhere I could see feels a bit high. But you’ll get no arguments from this 996 owner! The more those things sell for, the more all 996s will increase in monetary value. I don’t have any intentions of selling mine, but if someone offered me $60k, it’d be a really tough “no thanks.”

edit* I see it has 42k miles in the description. That’s not a terrible price, honestly. They have been going up recently.

Around these parts, 60K US would come very close to a 997.2 turbo.

A coupe in great shape with 42k miles? Certainly not. Unless $20k is “very close” for you.

edit* I was wrong.

ad says good shape and for Barrett Jackson that means “Avg at best” in Porsche speak.

You’re right. “Great shape” was an overstatement. In addition, upon further inspection it appears I was incorrect. 997.2 Turbo coupes are indeed available for very close to $60k. My apologies.
