Default How bad did I screw myself

Got a new to me C2 Cab.

While changing the spark plugs, I dropped one while pulling it out and it's in the cylinder. The tube came out with the coil pack and the spark plug is where the tube would be. I can feel it where it fell, but cant seem to get it out.

Is it still vertical? Try a piece of rubber hose or a magnet from the auto parts store.

There is what appears as a small crevice just inside the hole for the spark plug. It seems to be wedged down there and turned sideways.

as mentioned above use a magnet or another type of grabber sold at automotive parts stores that can grab it like this:
Amazon Amazon

or you could turn the car upside down and shake it out

LMAO, not at you please understand, but that is why I choose not to do certain engine fixes myself. I always (ok, most always) make the job more difficult than it needs to be and then pay someone to fix my 'oopses'.
Again, sorry for your luck. I can see me doing the same thing. You'll get it out.

How about a small diameter attachment on your shop vac?

You didn’t screw yourself, you plugged yourself. Let’s be clear. You will be able to get it out with enough creative thinking and attempts.

If I understand correctly, it’s not in the cylinder, but rather under the cam cover in the area of the valves and cams??

Oh man, I feel for you. It is something that would happen to me. I had something break off when I was changing plugs on my motorcycle. I ended up getting creative. I could lift it but not pull it out. I had to fashion a suction hose small enough on my shop vac. It did the trick, but only after about 4 other solutions failed.

Well, did ya get it out?
Another idea if shop vac or grabber doesn't hold--hot glue gun, glue that sucker to something flexible you can pull it out with?

Great! Good for young people to get hands-on problem-solving experience. Too many people grow up having never fixed or worked on anything!
