Can you help me identify these Upper strut mounts?
Hi, I'm looking for some help to identify some upper strut mounts. I bought a set of shocks used and they came with pillow ball strut mounts. They seemed to be in good condition when I got them but now that I have put them on I can see and feel some play in them when I have the wheels off the ground and I lift the wheel slightly. I want to replace the ball joint and reuse the mount but I don't know what to get. Does anyone have experience replacing the ball joint?
My car is a 2001 Porsche 911 C4 and the shocks are JRZ RS2.
Unfortunately I don't have any more pictures of the shock mount as they are on the car right now. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave

If I am understanding correctly, most coil overs come with theirs own upper shock mount. I would contact the company and get a proper replacement.

Hi Dave,
Those mounts are made by a company called Mode. The monoballs are replaceable but you need a special tool to remove the retainers. If you are able to remove them, there should be a part number on the bushings. Let me know what it is and I can probably help you with a replacement.
Thanks,
Ira
