difference between 996 and 996 gt3 seat belts
Are the receivers different to fit GT3 seats? Longer?

They are the same. I have installed GT3 Euro (harness) seats on both my previous 996 C2 and then on my 6-GT3. They were identical.
FWIW the GT3's were never sold in the USA with the Euro (harness) seats. They came with Sport seats which were identical to the sport seats offered as an option in all 996's. I am unsure if different receivers were offered in Europe/ROW with the Euro seats but I have never seen that they were.

Good to know. I can search install posts but what did you guys do to anchor your receiver?

Good to hear. I 'm sorting it out, haven't picked a seat and didn't know if it was different from the after market anchor I needed to put the Pole Position in my 964.

Good deal, if you do buy a set of GT3 Euro seats make sure that they have the seat belt blocks and all the hardware on the sides, they cost over $500 per seat from Porsche if they are missing, they are virtually unobtanium on the used market, and many I see for sale have the blocks missing or incomplete hardware.

Are front seat belts the same left to right or are they specific for each side and can't be switched?
Part numbers appear to be different but that's not always a true indication.
