Estimate for Tie Rods and Axle Boots
Hi All,
I am working with a local mechanic who I really like. They are helping me restore my late fathers 2000 C4 996. I really like him a lot and the work he has done so far.
However, I wanted to check if these quotes are reasonable before getting the work done as I am sort of tight on money. Thanks!
Front outer CV boots 2 boots - 95.46
Shop Supplies - 20.72
Labor remove and replace boots - 690
Total = $865
Outer tie rod ends - 193
Labor remove and replace tie rod ends - 163
Adjustments - 54
4 wheel alignment - 150
Total - $616

Those prices look pretty run of the mill. If you like the mechanic and he does good work, you’re ahead of the game
