Default 203 911 T wing problem

Hi Rennlist, I have a problem with the retractible wing on my 2003 911 turbo. It started posting an error message on the dash- wing not functioning, or something like that- now half the wing is up and half down and it doesn't move, either automatically (with speed) or manually. Thoughts?

You may want to check with the 996 turbo forum here.

Could be a bad hydraulic ram or it needs bleeding.

You have a leak in the hydraulic system for the spoiler lift . Pull the plastic caps off the bottom of the hydraulic rams and see if there is fluid collected in there. Very expensive to repair, the list price for the complete hydraulic spoiler drive is about $2600 bucks, (up from $1200 bucks before I retired).I have no idea how much or who can rebuild the rams if you need to save some money , but worth looking into.

There is also the electric option. Rennkit makes an eRam setup: https://rennkit.com/product-info/996turbo-eram/

Thanks CDS, glad the word is getting out there! We can certainly help the OP with a less expensive / more robust wing lift system.
