I got this as a gift. It has my VIN # and all of the specs of my car. It's like a blueprint etched onto a metal backing. It's pretty cool.

sasilverbullet, they are made by a guy named Ken "Porken" Lauridsen. He's been supporting the 928 community for over a decade with a number of custom parts and his stuff is very good quality. I have had a set of his lift bars for my 928 for over 10 years and he recently started branching out to make them for other Porsche's too. My 996 is slightly lower than my 928. Depending on your ride height, you may need to cut 4 small 3/4 inch plywood squares (one for each tire) to drive onto to elevate the car enough to get the a low-profile jack +lift bars under the car. Although, on my car I was just barely able to get them to clear by just sliding them into place on the jack with no issues.

I can tell you, after using them on my 928 for many years I don't like working without them. Makes jacking up the car MUCH easier.

I didn't get any photos of the end inserted into the jack point, but they fit like a glove. There are some pics on his website.

In a strange coincidence I used to travel that same road on my way to visit my parents in Carradale, also in the '80's and also in my Montego VandenPlas!! Small world!

Vandenplas? Wow, with a flash car like that, you probably had to really fight the ladies off.

The Montego actually wasn't a bad car, very '80s styling though. I even managed to break 100mph on the M9 in mine.

Wow, those are cool! I like that they're taller and cheaper than the Jackpoint Jackstands.

These finally arrived for the rear suspension. Methodically removing as many of the old rubber bushings as possible...

Let me get this straight. Judging from the pictures and associated description, you have a 2000 Porsche Carrera with a C4S body with interchangeable Mk1/Mk2 headlights, equipped with a 3.4L engine?

^^ I was going to say the same. The blueprint looks cool, but its not very accurate...

I've been receiving Engraved Blueprint Art's e-mail flyers for years now.
I've been tempted to get one,but I've already spent a bunch of $ on art for my garage and office and don't really have a spot available.
They send a proof before they engrave, but since this was a gift, I'm sure whoever got it for him didn't know the differences in 996.1, 996.2, NB, WB, etc.
Of course he could have a turbo style front bumper on his NB...I even know someone with a taco spoiler on his 996.2!
It's the thought that counts, not the accuracy!
Hang it with pride!
