Thumbs up Back in the saddle again.

Hello, all.
New 996 owner and new Rennlist member here.

In college I owned a 924 which had been beaten nearly to death. I bought that car for $2000 and it was gutless, it rattled like every bushing was missing, but it cornered like it was on rails. I both loved and hated that car. Since then I've owned a bunch of BMWs and just recently found a great deal on a 996 C2. I didn't know I was looking, but like other car guys might attest... I really was always looking. Anyways, the Carrera's got 105k mi on it and isn't perfect, but has been garaged and well maintained it's whole life. I'm having a blast with it, have joined the local PCA, and I'm looking forward to attending the next HP driving event on the calendar here in Houston.

I've been on BMW forums for years, both lurking and contributing, and I've been reading Rennlist for a couple weeks now. This forum seems to be filled with good-natured people and high quality technical discussion. I'm happy to be here and just wanted to say hello!

Welcome and great choice. Really a unique sports car, can take it to the track, around $20K, 170mph capable, a blast to drive. Enjoy the experience!
