Default B8 install upper stop plate- help!

For those running the Bilstein B8 shock directions state not re assemble with bump stop since shock has internal bump stop. So bump stop and part E upper stop plate are omitted? Or just the bump stop leaving the stop plate (part E) to rest on the beveled washer? Thanks for any help

I would leave the washer. It cant get hit by the shock body and it will keep the spacing correct. On my car i kept the bump stops in as they r pretty soft and wont hurt anything if left in.

I left the bump-stops as well - I don't remember if the instructions said otherwise. IIRC the bump-stop is considered part of the "spring" mechanism.

I left the bump stop in but cut about 1/4 of it off since I was using super low springs. I noticed a clunk over speed bumps with the bump stop out so I put it back in. Clunk gone!
