Had a laugh when I saw the busted connecting rod laying in the street....

lol!!! I just said this to a friend today!

We went to a drift event today. A guy with a 1994 325 who was drifting was shocked his car started overheating. I told my friend "why is that a surprise?!" Beating the crap out of a 25 year old car is shocking when it fails?!!!

This is the hole on my engine from a connecting rod coming loose.

Hard to watch a nice M3 go to toast from an attention junky. And, these modern drift events where these kids block off an active intersection and start drifting their cars within inches of the crowd is damn right reckless. All fun and games until someone gets hurt or killed.

I hate to see people abusing a fine automobile like that.
I bet a new S65 M3 engine will cost about as much as an M96 does.
