Default FS LN Eng, IMS kit Porsche 996 2003

I have a 2003 Targa with 74,000 miles, decided to drop engine and do bearing and seal swap before any issues. Pulled it apart and found out that bearing was different. Upon Inspection found out I had a new engine fitted in 2010 under warrantee at 49,000 miles by Porsche. Its the newer engine so IMS is not an issue.
I had talked to the dealer before and asked why they did not tell me, there explanation was they only keep records for 2 yrs, go figure?.
So I have a LN kit and a new oem seal , I paid $547 for all as I had a coupon, the LN kits are now $650.
I will seal all for $490 to member. I have photos and receipt, brand new.

Did you pull the oil seal off of the bearing (highly recommended)?

The new engine had a different bearing in it as it was a 2009/2010 engine as far as I have been able to established. The new kit and new bearings are still in package

What 808 is saying, It is recommended to pull the seal off the old bearing even if it is large style IMS bearing.

If it is an M96 engine installed in 2010, there is a high probability it was the latest version with the large single row bearing. It cannot be removed without splitting or modifying the engine case. It has been recommend that the IMSB flange be removed to access the bearing, and the grease seal removed. This allows engine oil to get in the bearing, which will prolong its life. The large single row bearing does have a low failure rate, but like any mechanical part, it will eventually fail.

Hello finally worked it out, sorry for confusion.
My kit is RND engines part for a 2002-2005 911 and 986 boxster.
Go to web site Inengineering.com, put in part # 106-08.2R and it brings up single row roller bearing kit for 2002-2005 porsche 911, the kit is now priced at $699, maybe I have priced mine low especially with new seal as well. so I will stick with $490 price
I have receipt and registration card
Thanks
John

John,
GLW selling your bearing kit. What the other guys above are saying is that you should remove the outer bearing seal from the bearing that in your engine. You'll have to remove the bearing flange first...

Hello, when I removed my engine and saw it was the new engine, the following was found out
1. It has 19,000 miles on it since Porsche warrantee new engine fitted at Porsche dealer in 2010
2. There is no leaking also its the 2006-2009 design where you would have to split case to remove, since its like new no reason to do this
3. I replace water pump and water tank , plugs etc while it was out.
4.I did the Bishoff exhaust change myself, sound great
5. Car runs great and sound is good. so here is information on my kit For Sale

So there was some confusion on my behalf hope this clarifies.

https://lnengineering.com/single-row...rofit-kit.html

As best I can tell, this is the cylindrical roller bearing to fit the single row IMSB.

It won't work in cars that have a dual row bearing (like my 2000).
