Hoping can fly with my son thursday and roadtrip back but now the doc has me doing some med tests scheduled for next week that may take priority, trying to figure it all out. Had some heart probs early in the year that required a bit of hospitalization so have to walk the line a bit...messes with the head.
Totally sux getting old! ....or as the dude would say, "this is a bummer man..."

I hope you get to do the road-trip; Would be a fantastic experience with your son. I just recently did a pickup/roadtrip bit it was solo...fun but not as fun as having a partner in crime.
Take care of yourself.

Good luck on your trip, when you get out there. I drove mine home from Cali last year, what a blast.

I flew out with cash (I thought the buyer insisted on cash, he says he didn't). Anyway, at the airport they made me take everything out of my pockets in security, so I put my travel pouch with ~$20K on the x-ray belt. Kind of a pucker moment there. Ha ha. Other than that, carrying the cash was not the biggest deal. It was large enough in my pocket so I always knew it was there.

I agree. I think the currency thing is a bigger deal with overseas customs.

Absolutely. If you try and bring a bottle of wine from Italy, you need to declare it, carry 20k to Vegas no one cares. Lets be honest thats Chump change for most guys going there...

The travel thing ONLY matters if you travel out of the country! Its to prevent illegal money transfers in cash. Carry $9900 you are fine $10k and over...trouble
