Oh by the way, when I purchsed my C36 8 years ago.. Mercedes was nice enough to give me a pewter model of the car. And the C36 is not as expensive as the C4S I got.

I didn't get jack squat when I bought my 01 C4... however, when I bought my Lexus they gave me a 1:18 scale model of the car, which I thought was nice.

This might have more to do with the dealership then the car manufacturer.

When my wife and I bought our Volvo, we got in the mail a round tin of cookies, followed a few weeks later by some nice thank you cards etc. Then a month later, they were nice enough to send our first payment invoice

I got the aluminum block paper weight when I bought my '02 cab in Oct. '01 but I think PCNA discontinued it or gave people the option of buying it.

I got the aluminum pylon with the Porsche crest & VIN number when I bought my '02 Carrera--it was in return for turning in the customer sat survey. When I bought my '04 Carrera, there was an order form included with all the manuals--now they charge something like $90 for it.

The original owner of my car got one of those aluminum blocks, but FWIW he bought it in Canada. I got it passed on to me when I bought the car 3 weeks ago.

Oh, and when I bought my Volvo from my father-in-law 6 years ago, he let me stay married to his daugher. Does that count?

Got the aluminum pylon with the VIN, a Porsche key ring, and later a $100.00 gift certificate. Also, they gave me a certificate of authenticity that it was a genuine Porsche car, as opposed to a fake Porsche car I suppose .
