Default Left rear wheel hits fender after bodywork

Hello!
I have a 996 - 2002 - Carrera 4S wich i bought in July.
I recently had some rust fixed and when it was finished at the body shop my left rear wheel is hitting the fender (body/wheel arc) when i go over small bumps.

The distance i less than an index finger on this side and approx 2 fingers on the other wheels to body.

Wha could be causing this?

There are several things that could be causing it, the question is why? Was it happening before the rust was fixed? If not, bring it back to the body shop and ask/tell them to fix whatever it is that changed.

Most likely an alignment issue. They may have removed some of the suspension to get to the body panel and didnt realise how sensitive these cars r to slight changes.

First of all, we have to cross the "what's obvious" bridge. Please take some pictures and post so that we can assist a little more informatively. In the meantime, answer a few questions for us.
1. Are the wheels factory or aftermarket?
2. What size tires?
3. Have you removed the rear wheels to see if the previous owner installed spacers to give it a wider stance?
4. Do you know if any of the suspension parts have been modified?
