Default Which coil and plug would you choose?

03 C2 Coupe, 85K miles, bone stock engine, which of these coils and plugs would you choose? I want the coils to fit without any problems. I'm leaning toward the Bremi coil and the NGK Iridiums.
Please give some explanation about your choices.

Keep in mind I don't track the car and it's my daily driver. Needs to be reliable in the mud, blood, and the beer!

The OEM is Beru. Check with Jason from warehouse33 and he can get you the good ones with a good price/discount.

There's also a rennlist discount code somewhere.

There are updated coils that are thicker so they come with longer bolts. These are great coils.

For spark plugs, Bosch and NGK are good.

Just bought mine from him. Nice deal, quick shipping. I went with the Beru's.

Did you have to modify the metal shield that protects them?

Nope. Even if you need to it's no big deal. Adding a washer or two should work.

Nope. Fit the same. I did an install video on the whole process. This was my first time changing them and it was pretty painful. Not much room in there to work especially for Cylinder 1 and 4. I dropped the muffler on the passenger side side, but not on the driver's side. If your muffler bolts/nuts are in good shape it is worth it to take them off.

Default tools for coil/spark plug change

Kobalt 24 piece right angle bit driver 099198852324

KD spark plug 3 piece service kit 41740

The funky pliers that are in the post above made reattaching the coil wires much easier. What you don't see is the end is bent @ ~40 degree angle.

I used the old coil bolts to reattach the heat shields as they are longer than the original heat shield bolts, but are the same diameter and threading.

UPDATE: AMCPILOT (my mechanic):
1. checked the codes, nada
2. checked the oil filter, absolutely clean
3. replaced the plugs and coils, used the bigger BERU's
4. checked the exhaust system extensively
5. put it all back together, sounds, runs good, no codes

Drove it to work this morning, ran great. Hads lots more low end power. I left it in D and didn't shift manually, didn't need to, lot's more torque.

I hope your guy put in the standard Bosch plugs with 4 electrodes. I put some iridium single wire center electrode plugs in my car, and the damn center electrode on one plug was fried in less than 10K miles. Created a misfire, so I replaced everything...new upgraded coils and new Bosch 4 prong spark plugs. Been great ever since.

Hello guys,

Is there any difference (besides the obvious physical ones) between the old coils and the new larger ones? Are the new ones better than the old ones?

Thanks in advance
