Default Inlet manifold vacuum flap

Hi everyone!!
Just wondering if anyone has an experience checking the vacuum operated flap on the inlet manifold , I just want to check mines working properly, can I for example put my fibre optic camera in to the flap valve and rev the engine, should I see it operating or does it not work like that, have great throttle response low down the Rev range but seems to go flat higher up and thought it might be this ??
Any help would be great !!

Are you talking about the resonator flap? It is vacuum operated and certainly, by applying a source of vacuum you can check/test it for operation.

That's what I assumed Noz1974 was talking about.

Sooo does that mean in normal air temps I should see the flap opening between 3120 and 5120 rpm , applying vacuum opens the flap and in its normal state where no vacuum is applied it is closed?

The operating parameters are for the different engine and model types (M96/01 vs M96/76 for instance)
