So I started my search for a ~$20k 996 back in May. Unfortunately, nothing that I found checked all the boxes (low mileage, right color, service history, etc). I decided to quickly increase the budget to $25k in an effort to find a nice example. Soon realized I was only another $5k-8k away from a C4S so I looked at one that was 1,400 miles away from home while on a business trip. Love at first sight and owned by a very nice gentleman who was a retired Air Force vet. Even though I wanted it back in May, the price was a little more than I wanted to spend and I figured I would look for something closer.
Long story short, the owner had the car sold a few times but buyers did not follow through. 4 months later, we reached a deal and I had it shipped to me. Based on the condition and history, I was very surprised that it had not sold months prior. Guess it was just meant to be.
its an 02, Lapis Blue with 52k. Maintenance records provided, IMS done, etc. Only issues are a very slight RMS weap and the car could use a nice buff or clay wax to get the swirls out of the paint.
It’s a blast to drive and I’m very pleased with it so far. Only mods I’m thinking of are maybe lowering springs and a short throw shifter. It already has Fabspeed mufflers.
