Default Powerflow Exhaust Question

Everyone,

I came across an opportunity to purchase a Powerflow Exhaust for my 2001 996 - don't know anything about this company since I know Fabspeed, Billy Boat, etc are more common. Does anyone know anything about Powerflow Exhaust and their applicability to the 996 and/or reputation and performance gains?

Thanks,

Matt

As a follow up, looks like they are sold in the USA via TopGear....

Best thing about the exhaust is its fairly easy to take off and on, if the price is right give it a try?

When you say "exhaust" and we talking mufflers, cats, headers or all/some of those?

Mufflers...and that sounds reasonable (re: ability to take on/off)

Yep basically remove the rear bumper, remove the heat shields, loosen the clamps, remove 3 bolts on each side and the mufflers are off.

If you purchase and install, please post your impressions. These are incredibly affordable. I was planning to send my OEM mufflers to Fister, but mine are starting to show a split along the bottom seam and don't think they would last in the long run. I could get some used OEM mufflers on EBAY but compared to going that route the Top Gear / Powerflow mufflers seem to be a bargain. They get pretty good reviews on some of the British forums, but for some reason I have found very few reviews of them here in the US. I'll be curious to get your impressions.

If you can get under the car you don't even have to do that. Just take the wheels off and make life easier.

Hey folks - they are fairly well regarded here in the UK and the customer service seems to go above and beyond that of some of their competitors -

I bought the Topgear 200 cell and mild sport early this year. Love them! Good price and good quality. I went with a group purchase on 911uk and saved another 10%. Sound is very nice with good tone and just-right loud, absent any droning. I’m very tempted to give the manifolds a shot next. Very strong customer service and very good rep in 911 community.

Thanks for the inside baseball on the powerflow/topgear exhaust. As for note, this is a daily driver in suburbua and professional settings. Not too loud/annoying? Any performance gains to speak off (hp/torque)?

I had the Helmholtz resonator delete with stock filtration and standard ECU before adding the Topgear bits. Sweet sound improvement over stock. Maybe a little hp and torque add. They’re just loud/noticeable enough to make the professional suburbanites jealous. When I put the foot down, above 4,000 rpm I swear angels are singing, but not certain ‘cuz I only hear flat six opera.
