Default Hoovie blew up his LS2

Not to spoil the surprise as its in the title, but Hoovies LS swapped 996 had the same fate as the 3.4L on the same track. He lost oil pressure, DROVE it to the pits, and was surprised when it locked up...again

Speaking of luck, for those that are just casual fans of Hoovie, his F355 burned to the ground as well.

I'm sure he's not too happy right now with a blown LS2 and his Ferrari catching on fire and burning up recently!

Is this the beginning of the “x” modes of failure of a LS motor in a 996 thread?

The ls3 is dry sumped from the factory on some models. There is no reason the ls2 could not have been retrofitted. Its a completely preventable failure. Sucks it happened but he should have learned about high g oiling after his first motor seized.

I just want to know something... when is this guy going to stop being the YouTube/AutoTrader "village idiot" and finally make a smart decision about a car? Look how much he flushed down the toilet making the V8 fit! I have no dog in this fight, but he should have hired Flat 6 Innovations to install a proper flat 6 engine. Raby would have built a performance engine that would run circles around any LS swap Porsche monstrosity.
