Default Fuel Line Quick Disconnects in engine bay...

I'm still working on my engine swap - slowly...

anyway, how does this disconnect actually disconnect? Does the collar rotate? Or is there some other way to separate the lines? Both my 996 and my donor 997 have the same disconnect.

Rotate and pull if I recall (seems like forever since I did mine) correctly. It should be detailed in the tech article.

If you're talking about the one pointed by the blue arrow, that's a quick connect. Just squeeze the tab behind and pull out straight.

no tabs to push on this one. i'm reluctant to force it but it must be some rotation to separate the parts. It's a Raymatics part, maybe i'll call them on |Monday.

I'm hoping counter clockwise but I may call Raymatics on Monday to see if they know.

There's a tab at the back. Check with an inspection mirror.

Mine is the pinch and pull as Ahsai described. Real simple once you get a grip on it.

Thank you both! I won't get back to it until Saturday probably.

If I have learned one thing here, it is that Ahsai knows his stuff. You can rest assured that there is a tab back there if he says there is.

Haha, thanks. Just hate to see someone destroys that $5 connector and found out it comes with the two fuel rails from Porsche as one piece ($400+).

I apologize for resurrecting an old thread, but I just want to say thank you. I could not figure this connection out, and this thread saved me. There IS a tab, it's recessed into the back of the connector, it doesn't feel like a tab, but it's there.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
