Airbags warning light - delete!

Airbags warning light - delete!
Hi guys, my 2004 GT3 is mostly used for track events, so some years ago we removed all the airbags & fitted a race steering wheel. Rely on the full roll cage, harnesses, HANS and helmets instead.
Unfortunately and out of the blue, I have to take the vehicle for a government licensing inspection, Of course the airbag red light shows up on the instrument panel, plus on start the warning in words comes on.
Needing to temporarily nullify these for the inspection! Have sold off all of the airbag components.... aaargh.
But I've heard there is a clever solution.
An auto electrician can rig up a timer to the airbag light so it stays on for 3 seconds when the car is started, but also stays on permanently when ignition is on and not running.
Anyone have any wisdom or insights re doing this? Many thanks

I did this.
You need a durametric and an airbag control unit replacement.
Please see this post for reference.

Don't know if this is the same but I just installed a MOMO wheel and hub adapter on my 996.2. We removed the stock wheel/airbag. I bought the hub adapter from Gert and it came with the required resistor. Wired that in and Voila! No airbag light. had the car inspected yesterday and she passed with flying colors.

I just received a hub(with the airbag resistor) from Gert today.
When I get home, I'll look to see what value the resistor is.
But if you're missing more than just the steering wheel airbag, you might have to experiment with resistors for the other airbags.
At least you'll have a place to start.

Oops, I forgot about this until just now.
Steering wheel airbag resistor is 2.7 ohms, +/-5%.

I see the Durmetric is the scanner of choice, but I've used Autel for all my European cars. It will clear airbag MIL. This thing has saved me a lot of money in the past. My BMW was just as finicky when things in the car were changed or removed. I'm surprised the GT3 doesn't have a simple menu option for changing out the steering wheel since this is a common track ready car.

I own the Durametric Professional and a couple of Snap-on scanners.(Ethos Pro and Solus Pro)
When I clear airbags for people(which seems to happen often lately) I grab the Snap-on Ethos Pro.
It is faster to boot up and navigate to the correct menu than Durametric.
Same thing with registering batteries on BMWs, I choose the Snap-on before the Bavarian Technics.(BMW version of Durametric)
I use the Durametric just for the PPI rev-limit and over-rev info.
Other than that it's the newest Snap-on that I grab.

Awesome, thank s@De Jeeper - found them and they are on order. Do you know if the seat delete plug works for a 987.2 Cayman?
I didn't find any.
