Took 4 days from germany and worked for the seat belt tensioner issue i had. One of the other ones has pins that just plug into the airbag harness plug but mine were missing so i got this sryle. Fyi the yellow connectors suck, i soldered them in.

I assume but dont know for sure the resistance for an airbag sensor is standarized so probably?

All of the air bag components can be coded out with the correct scan tool .No need for resistors. The air bag module stays in place and the air bag light will illuminate for the required bulb test.

Is that true? I have PIWIS 3 and cannot do any coding to the airbag ECU on my 2002 996 Turbo. On the 981 gen cars its certainly possible and instructions are available on Planet9.

Default EASY Replacement of "PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF" light

It turned out to be easy for me on my 2011 Cayman Base. After shearing off the top of the old indicator with a wood chisel I pushed it down. Then after lifting the shift boor cover I was able to reach in and unplug the old indicator.. Then pushed the wire and connector back up through the opening and connected the new indicator. Pushed the connector into place and all is working and new. Hope this will help others.
