Default 2000 with a throttle cable?

I was recently doing work on the interior and I noticed a cable going up from the throttle pedal. I also noticed what appeared to be a cable running down the center console. I thought only 99’s had cables and 2000+ had egas? Any ideas or did I just create an idiot thread brick?

The throttle pedal position sensor is remote mounted, and connected to the pedal by a short cable

^ That is correct. However, it would be simple to open the engine lid and check the TB. If there is a cable attached, then it is cable. If not, then e-gas.

^^ Both correct. Only 1999 has throttle cable to the engine. 2000+ is egas. +1 to VFRMike, the sensor is remotely mounted so it looks like a little cable from the petal.
