I need to replace my mufflers/exhaust for my 2001 996 C2 Coupe and need help vetting options. I use my car as a daily driver and don't track it, so while I like a decent exhaust note, I don't want too loud or aggressive noise. I'm considering the following, but additional thoughts on these or others is appreciated. Value/Cost is also a consideration here as well.
1. Fabspeed MaxFlo (preferred choice at moment)
2. Fister D
3. Agency Power
4. Tubi Style
From my experience, Tubi sounds so good, but is the most expensive one listed. Fister D is my second favourite (I had it prior to my current Maxflo setup) and is very cost effective. Plus, they are just a great company to work with.

Listen to my video of my NC trip. That is Gundo mufflers and Top Gear cats. No drone at all. Nice and raspy on the gas and pretty tame on cruise. Nice bump in performance due to the cats. Total all in price for me was around $600.
I've got Fabspeed Maxflo's on my car ('99 3.4l). They have a nice throaty rumble to them with the stock exhaust manifolds, though a little droney at highway speed under load (acceleration) - not bad at all when just cruising. I recently put Agency Power headers on and the drone was reduced, as well as becoming a little more "exotic" sounding (slightly higher pitch). IMO the Tubi's sound a little too "ricer" sounding for my taste (only from video's - not sure if I've heard them in person...).
I have run both the Fister (Gundo) as well as the MaxFlo's. My current setup is Fabspeed headers, catless X-pipe, and Maxflo's. It's shockingly muted compared to the Fister and a totally different sound. The Fisters have a bit of a deeper, un-tuned sound versus my current setup which is very muted around town but sings under heavy accel and high RPM's - very cup-ish in my opinion. It's a higher pitch that is more of an exotic sound - again, much more like a cup car. Zero drone at all.
The Fisters were louder by what seemed to be a considerable margin.
Fabspeed is active on the forums, so I would look into them for sure.
I personally went with Fisters and I love them. Sometimes I wish they were a little louder, but as a daily driver I think they strike a perfect balance. They can be quiet when you want to talk to someone or have a phone call, or loud if you want to have more fun. Your right foot is the volume control. They're awesome in tunnels, super awesome in parking lots (growls and burbles) and sound good on the track too. I've had multiple people at PCA events comment on how great they should. Compared to stock, its a no-brainer. I would never, ever, consider going back to the stock mufflers.

Charlieaf92, thanks for the reply - I actually watched your video on the Fister mod earlier this morning, very informative! This mod sounds easy enough and is also cost effective - plus everyone seems to enjoy working with the company.
Topgear 200 cell and Mild Sport mufflers on mine. Price is very good and quality is there. Love sound and performance of them. Check out what users are saying on 911uk.com. I also considered Fister but these do just fine for me. I’ll try and post video in a couple of days when I get home.
One downside of stock as well as the fister and gundo modded exhausts is the weight. The stock mufflers weigh a ton. All of the aftermarket ones I've had in hand are considerably lighter.

He states he is not going to take the car to the track so why would he be concerned about weight? Not trying to be snarky but his question was about sound and fisters are a great option.
Tubi mufflers give a different tone, more like an F1 scream @ WOT
Here are some revs, the ECU tune has a 5k launch control, so revs are maxed @ 5k, you can hear the engine bounce off the 5k rev limiter. This car has a LWFW and an RSS underdrive pulley, so it revs pretty quick.
