Wow, I just looked up the RG5. I was not aware it was one piece or that it was so light. I figured the tires would be slightly heavier, but I thought, just from looking at them, the 19s must’ve been pretty heavy (which they are definitely not). Well, the increased weight and sidewalls will soak up bumps a lot better, which was the goal. They look good too!

I think it’s the crappy IPhone pic or angle. From straight on it sits just right for my taste. It already has the M030 setup. Wouldn’t want to go any lower.

Last night I started the demo on my radio head unit and also replaced the LCD screen which is broken on the heat / ac unit. Going to finishup the radio today.

What head unit did you get? Carplay? I'm thinking seriously about doing this to my car - I'm between a double-din unit and the Continental radio with bluetooth. Leaning double-din but will be curious how your installation goes.

Apex makes some nice wheels. Wish they had more styles for our cars. I was debating on getting a new set myself or having the oem wheels refinished in a metallic gold. I think it would look good against the metallic blue paint.

Thanks! They’re Sumitomo HTRs. 225/40/18 and 295/30/18. I coulda gone 235/40 and 315/30 but wasn’t 100% sure if they would rub. Next set of tires I’ll def go up to the wider sizes.

I went with the pioneer below. Its nothing special and very simplistic. That is what I was looking for. I wanted something very simple that would not be outdated in 5 years like a lot of touch screens might.

I drove 300+ miles today with the local Porsche club! Had a blast out in the twisties in the hill country.

Thank you very much! Will check that out. I’m looking for something pretty simple too - my car has the base system, so no real benefit to going for high-end audio. I just want something that will give me Bluetooth and other “modern” functions.
